Hello!

My name is Jessica Trevino and I am a freshman at Trinity University. I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, particularly Alamo Heights, which is an astounding five-minute drive away from campus, ten in traffic. I live with my mother and (SECRET FACT!) five animals. I have four dogs: a Beagle-Dalmatian mix, Shitzu-Terrier mix, Chiwawa-Terrier mix, and a full bred Yorkshire Terrier. I also have a white non-lap-cat cat that hates the world. How did I acquire all these animals? I like to say that they found us rather than we found them--no one in my family can so "no" to an animal in need. This picture is of the cat and Chiwawa-Terrier mix. I also have a brother who is a junior at Texas Tech. I am dating a boy named Josh and have been for about three and a half years (he's the one smiling like a fool in the picture to the right). I play the cello and have for about nine years. I just made it into the Trinity Orchestra and will be taking lessons here as well. As far as other campus involvement opportunities, I think I am going to be doing a fair amount of community service. I have already joined the group Amnnesty International and am excited about the work we are going to do this upcoming semester. I have a job at a restaurant in Alamo Heights called Twin Sister's Bakery and CafĂ©—the most non-vegetarian vegetarian restaurant you will ever find. I have worked there since I was fifteen and enjoy it for the most part. I also have a work-study job on campus at the library in the special collections department.

I feel somewhat proficient in my computer skills. All of the schools I attended from elementary to high school placed a great emphasis on computer skills. In elementary school I took typing classes and learned basic functions on the computer such as using Internet explorer and word. In junior high school I was already and expert at the Internet, delved into word a bit further, and also utilized PowerPoint and excel. High school taught me more about the programs to which I was already accustomed and also integrated html, Mac technology, Photoshop, and other various programs that I do not really remember. Up to this point, computer class was just something I was forced to go through. I chose to take this class because I want to actually absorb and retain technology skills that I can utilize throughout my college career and beyond.
